Life: Fanime 2017

Hello long time no personal, life update! Over the weekend I attended Fanime in San Jose! (My hometown lol) I only went Saturday due to complications in my schedule, but I thought I would post a tiny bit???
Something I typically do for con season is I like to draw for some of my favorite artists who attend, so I drew pieces for Hollee (Kaze-Hime), Kai (aka-shiro), Hitsu (hitsukuya). I think it's just a really nice gesture to give something to someone who inspires you? I drew Kai's the week before but worked late into the night for Hollee and Hitsu haha. It was well worth it though, it was so nice to see their smiles!
The day of, I went to pick up a friend so we could make the drive down to the convention center, I didn't factor in that it was Memorial Day Weekend, so there was actually some traffic! We still made it by my estimate time, but it was quite annoying to see the stop and go motion, waiting for cars to move lol. We arrived by 10 am, and we were able to wait in line for registration for about 15 mins, pretty quick! I spent most of my day meeting up with some of my online friends, and in Artist Alley so I didn't do too much - but nonetheless it was fun! If you follow my twitter @ xionmaomei, you probably already know though lol! I won't go into too much detail about what friends and I did, but it was really fun to meet everyone and I can't wait to see familiar faces again at AX 2018!

PRIVATE OPENING
Hello everyone, for those who read about the ‘private opening’ the session has passed but if you’re on the private invite list you’ve been given an extension! To check that you’re invited feel free to take a look at the Invite List.
Rules and FAQ | How to Join | Character Creation
We would like to announce our official public opening.
Note this is not a first come first serve basis, the mod team will evaluate the incoming apps as a whole and decide based on creativity, effort, and how they fit into the group.
Note: If you’re joining with someone and would like to tell us, please do! It helps in the evaluating process, especially if it’s the case of ‘all or nothing’
Example: sibling characters, but you want them to both be accepted
Before applying please read all journals, especially those which are quick linked above.
How to apply for the public opening:
- Create your app within the time frame
- Optional: receive an application check before March 11th
- Send in your application with the proper form
- Wait till the official announcement is made for those who are accepted
We will only accept: 40 (new members who are not on the invite list)
APP DUE DATE
March 19th, 2017
A month from today, join request will be closed. Within a week there will be an announcement of those who’ve been accepted.
App checks: March 11th is the last day to ask for an app check.
